Hosting
Hosting, handled.
One yearly price. Your site stays up to date and backed up, and you have a person to ask.
What it includes
- MODX only, 100% tuned. The hosting I administer is built and tuned for MODX sites only, so they run faster and safer.
- One WhatsApp. Message me and I handle the rest. Email or a call work too.
- Security maintenance. A firewall, a web firewall and MODX rate limits, kept current and watched, so attacks are stopped before they reach your site.
- Daily backups. Copied off the server, so there is always a recent copy to restore.
Good to know
- From £200 a year. The final price depends on your site, and you get it in writing first.
- You own your domain. It stays in your name throughout.
- Email is separate. I recommend Google Workspace and can set it up, which keeps your email safe from any website issue.
- No call centre. I admin the full hosting, so any change goes directly through me, with nobody in between. MODX 2 and 3 sites only.

Book anything. A booking platform for teachers, studios and small businesses who want to take reservations and payments online without a heavy booking suite.
Each business gets its own space where members book classes and services, pay a deposit or use credits, and manage their bookings. Owners add the booking widget to their own site, send courtesy places and get an installable app with notifications.

IoT platform

A real-time IoT platform. Devices connect securely over MQTT, their data is stored as time series and shown on live dashboards, and a rules engine reacts to readings the moment they arrive.
It is multi-tenant, so each customer sees only their own devices, and it includes user management and a support ticket system. The portal itself runs on MODX.

Process
New site or existing site.
Creating a website should be an enjoyable, stress-free experience. Here is how we work together.
New website
- Get in touch. We discuss your project, ideas and goals.
- Cost estimate. A clear quote and timeline, so you know what to expect.
- Agreement and payment. A 50% deposit starts the work. Hourly projects are billed every 5 to 10 hours.
- Content and style. You send text, images and brand guidelines, plus examples of sites you like.
- Design. I design the key pages and we refine them together.
- Development. Built on a private, password-protected link you can open any time.
- Training and launch. I teach you MODX, test performance, then your site goes live.
- Future additions. Add features or pages whenever you need. You own your domain throughout.
Existing website
- Get in touch. Tell me what needs improving or fixing and I will investigate causes and ideas.
- Estimate. An approximate price and number of hours. If it changes, I tell you why before it does.
- Payment. Billed every 5 to 10 hours, so invoices stay small.
- Testing and warranty. You run all the tests. If something I did needs fixing, I fix it.
